Home State (HS) Quota: In NITs, 50% of the seats are reserved for this quota.

Other State (OS) Quota: Under this quota, there is nearly 50% reservation of seats for candidates belonging to all other states and Union Territories excluding the Home state.

 Just like all other government institutes, 15% seats are reserved for the students who fall under the schedule caste (SCs) bracket, 27% for Other Backward Classes or OBCs and 7.5% for schedule tribes or STs.

There is no ex-serviceman quota in NITs. 

You will get your home state quota advantage. 

There is a reservation for OBC-NCL, SC and ST category.
