Well, there is lot more oppurtunities for doing metallurgy.. firstly if you want to do future in metallurgy you may have to do the course btech and then go for masters... you can get jobs as safety engineering and welding engineering.. you can get jobs in public sector like drdo and isro.. the average package goes around 7-8 lakhs pa.
