There is huge demand in India for civil engineers. In India, a fresher civil engineer can expect between Rs. 30,000 to Rs.40,000 per month depending on skills, knowledge, grades and college placements.

After gaining experience, a civil engineer may receive a promotion to supervisor and can can earn Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 90,000 a month. Someone with 15-20 years’ experience can rake in upwards of Rs. 1 lakh a month.
