In josaa, there is a mock seat allotment. The mock seat allotment is for the students, so that they can get a rough idea that which branches in which colleges they will get in the josaa main round counselling as per their order of filled choices.
But the mock seat allotment results are not 100% accurate, it's totally on approximate basis. The final results of josaa main round counselling always vary with mock seat allotment result.

Now if you got allotted a seat in mock seat allotment then, that means you have a high probability of getting that particular seat in josaa main round counselling. But still there is no surety that you will get that only particular seat in josaa main round counseling. Because as I mentioned above - mock seat allotment results are not 100% accurate.

But if you did not got allotted any seat in mock seat allotment then that doesn't mean that you will not get any branch in josaa counselling. If your rank is good as per the previous year cutoff closing ranks then there is a chance that you can get seat in josaa main round counselling, even if you had not got any seat alloted in mock round.
