No, there is nothing Such. If your preparatory rank is good and above the cutoff then you are allowed to take admission on the basis of vacant seats available. It's bridge course provided by IIT and ISM for 2 semesters for Chemistry,Physics,Mathematics and English. They don't turn into your regular rank.

for this year the cutoff for individual course was:- 2.5% and aggragare 5%.
