Hi.

If you quality this eligibility criteria then you are allowed to give JEE Mains 2021:

Candidates who have appeared for JEE Main or JEE Advanced in 2016 or earlier, will not be ELIGIBLE to appear in JEE Advanced in 2021. The candidate who had taken admission in any institute other than IITs in 2018 is eligible to appear for the exam provided that the candidate satisfies other eligibility criteria.

Please make sure you confirm this information from an official because JEE Mains 2021 Information Bulletin has no exclusive column for this.

Ha Hi. Allow me to clarify, According to the official JEE Mains Information Bulletin you are NOT ELIGIBLE to register for JEE Mains exam because it is clearly states that "Only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2019, 2020
or 2021; or those who are appearing in Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2021, are
eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2021"

Dear student,
You can definitely appear for jee mains again if you are already studying in an iit. The condition is that you cannot appear for jee advanced as you are already in first year in one hf the iits. But if you wish to take admission in amy nit or iiit then definitely you can go for it.
