What minimum percentage is required to get admission in NITs and IITs?
Earlier, it was 75% minimum in 10+2 from a recognized board. But, this year, this critear has been relaxed due to the crisis going on. Also, in jee mains candidates need to score at least 89+ percentile (general category) and 76+ percentile (obc category) to get admission in NITs. And, once you clear the jee mains you would be eligible for JEE advance exam and first 10,000 rankers get admission in top IITs.

Can I get a decent branch in top IITs by thorough studying of high weightage topics .. Does solving previous yr questions help in JEE advanced
See, solving previous year question papers of any exam helps in understanding the question types and trends and solving them will help in understanding the approach of solving those critical questions. Solving lot of previous year question paper will help you to feel confident and comfortable when you will sit in the real examination.As far as topics are concerned then yes giving more time on chapters that carry more weightage is smart move but neglecting other will be a huge mistake.In JEE advance examination,you will have to compete with one of the best candidates and if you leave any topic then you are giving others a chance to beat you and remember seats are not limited so you cant leave any stone unturned.So, cover all the topics thoroughly if you really want to get into IITs.
Remember, there is no shortcut to success.
I hope this helps.
I Gave Mock Test In My coaching for jee adv pattern And I got 71 in Paper 1 and 85 in paper 2. i want to know How much minimum marks is needed to Get Cse in old iits . i know I am Damn failure but i will try to improve . I belong to Gen Category and Curently I am in 11 . so plesse tell anyone
See as far as JEE advanced is concerned, a good rank can also be expected in 50percent score in both the papers. Which means approximately 180 to 190 marks combined.
But this largely depends on the paper pattern and how much is the toughness.
So you still have one entire year to practice, try getting 220+ marks to make it to a good rank in the finals.

It has a lot of scope in government sector and even during the placements CS/IT company take interview if the ECE student as well.Rest all are the core branches with good scope in them as well.
Hope this will help you!

Are IITs also giving admissions through JEE MAIN only!!!! if Not why this person (Afifa ) is listing me IITs when Im asking about colleges i can get in 92 percentile in JEE MAIN, General category, CS IT ECE .....plz tell colleges
No,IITs do not give admission on the basis of jee mains exam.
Sorry for your inconvenience but he might be referring to IIITs,yes you can get CSE/ECE in new IIITs and have good chance in North eastern NITs(but other branches)
Alternatively you can participate in your home state councelling where you have better chance.
Also since you have one more chance(if applied) to take jee mains entrance exams where if you can increase your percentile can get much better colleges.
Hope that helps;
