There is something called preferential seats ok for AIIMS DELHI and Jodhpur Students as of now.
Reservation was scrapped by SC in 2003

Preferential seats are 50% in AIIMS
For example, if there are 70 open seats in AIIMS PG, then top 35 will be filled by merit. After rank 35, AIIMSonians will get preference. Thus, AIIMS guys don't get any major benefit as all the major branches (medicine, radiodiagnosis, surgery etc.) are already filled under rank 30. Instead of using preference in non clinical, they choose clinical in other AIIMS !


Hence, its not of much use !
