Hi

Yes there is 10 % reservation for Economically weeker section for unreserved category. The bill has become law long back. All the central government colleges will be implementing this law from Feb 2019. NITs , IITs, will reserve 10 % seats for EWS from 2019-2020 acadamic year.

Eligibility:

1. Should be from general category

2. Family annual income should be less than 8 lacks.

Following certificates are required

1. Income certificate issued by revenue Officer.

2. BPL ration Card ( Yellow coloured )

3. AAY Ration card (Pink coloured )

11 Feb. 2019 President signed new 10 % EWS reservation bill for general category, yet their is no provisional changes in JEE main April 2019 form?

Yes you are eligible for EWS. It will not be reflected in application form. While counseling separate seats will be reserved

I'm not asking about other backward classes (obc)
I'm asking about economically backward classes ebc from general category..
Cabinet approved 10% reservation for ebc.. That one

Hello Dear

There will not type of such reservations for the economically backward class category (EBC) in any of the respective government exams including the JEE mains as well .
