Economically weaker section in india is a subcategory of people belonging to the economy based Un Reserved category having an annual family income less than Rs. 8lakhs and who do not belong to any category such as SC/ST/OBC across India,nor to MBC in tamilnadu.Yes there is 10% reservation for EWS category in Government jobs and educational institutions.This is over and above existing 50% reservation for SC/ST/OBC Categories.
