Hope you are doing great. Yes, for the top most universities and the institutes they go with the score in the entrance test and few on the merit based. The entrance test for Msc Biotechnology are  JNUEE, BHU PET, BITSAT, TISS NET, DUET, IPU CET.

And for few of the institutes they have their own entrance test and other than these two options the other institutes take  admission on the Merit score.
