Yes, a lot of non-IITians make it to the IIMs. I’m a graduate of IIM Calcutta and the following is the composition of my batch (2013–15).

IIT: 28%

NIT: 13%

DCE/NSIT: 6%

BITS PILANI: 5%

University of Delhi:4%

JNTU+OSmania: 4%

Pune University:4%

University of Mumbai: 3%

Anna University: 3%

Jadavpur University: 2%

BIT: 2%

WBUT: 2%

Punjab University: 2%

Others: 22%

The composition remains more or less the same in IIM-ABCs and the ratio of non-IITians increases as you go further down the rank (IIM-L, IIM-K, IIM-I et al)
