all courses are same and equally important if you have the essential skills. no course in a college is a waste one. if it is waste then no one would study. CSE is different from IT. but nothing is inferior to other.

there are IT people earning in lakhs and CS people earing in thousands. and even vise versa is true. so it all depends on quality of what you study.

and also based on your interest. analyze the portions. the one which interests you is the one you have to choose.
