Is there any value of SC/ST rank while taking admission in govt. colleges??

Greetings aspirant!

Yes SC/ST categories do get some relaxation in minimum required marks in comparison to general and obc categories. But you have to be clear in your question that for which college particularly you want to know SC/ST criteria.

For example in DU Colleges cut-off for SC/ ST candidates are really low. Same is applied in competitive exams as well, some seats are reserved for SC and st candidates which make their minimum required marks really low.

ARPAN MONDAL hi arpan according to the official website of JU, West Bengal you will only get relaxation in marks if you are a domicile of west bengal. if you have your domicile proof you can apply for reservation under ST category.
