see there is several entrance exam held by NTA, individual university, state entrance test committee to admission in courses like englineering, medical, b.sc/ bba/ bms etc , agriculture, integrated mba and so on.

jee main is the engineering entrance test, which has conducted for 4 sessions this year. based on jee main score you may take admission to nits, iiits, centrally funded institute, private engineering colleges for engineering as well.

to admission in iits, students have to appear in jee advance, you need to secure a certain cutoff in jee main exam to qualify for jee advance.

jee main exam can be attempted for three consecutive years starting from the year of passing 12th course.
