Is there sliding in IIT and nit means is it same syllabus for all in first year in any college AND IF we perform well will I get desired branch (Shift from ece to cse like that)

Hi khirangannu2003,

Yes,There is a sliding procedure in almost all IITs and NITs. And you can change your branch after Ist year if you perform well in your exams. But the seats are very limited and one has to work very hard to change his/her branch and as your are talking about CSE stream,then competition gets more tougher.
