Yes, Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Test is an entrance exam for admission to Second year B.Tech along with other under graduate and Post graduate courses offered by AKTU, MMMUT, HBTU andother specified Universities in Uttar Pradesh for the academic year 2021-22. Candidates who have passed 3 year Diploma in Engineering need to appear for UPCET to get admission in to Second year B.Tech through lateral entry. But if you are seeking admission to first year B.Tech course you need to appear for JEE Main as the admission from the academic year 2021-22 for B.E/B.Tech will be based on JEE Main score. Earlier the admission was based on UPSEE score.
