Not every college needs CAT as the exam to be passed.
Some of the low rated colleges doesn't need CAT.
Some of the colleges conducts there own entrance exams.

Hi,
The registration fee for CAT is 1900 INR for students belonging to general category and 950 INR for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
You will be eligible for admissions to MBA colleges after qualifying the cut-off in CAT along with group discussion and interview marks. However some weightage will be given to your past academic performance and work wexperience to get into the top colleges. However CAT is not the only exam that will fetch you admission in MBA. There are exams such as MAT, XAT, NMAT, CMAT etc. that too provide admission to MBA and there are some institutes that conduct their own examination as well.
