As you have mentioned that your jenpauh general category rank is 1178 which indeed is not that bad and with this rank you are seeking admission in BMLT course . Let me tell you that very few students het seat through jenpauh but your rank is okkk, so you have decent chances of getting BMLT...
See, if you have ews reservation then your chances increase of getting a seat for BMLT course.... Because 10% seats are reserved for the candidates having ews reservation.... But if you don't have ews reservation then it would be very difficult for you to get a seat through jenpauh...

But still i would say there is nothing bad to hit a try on the chance of getting a seat for BMLT course..
