Candidates for the MBA must hold a Bachelor's Degree in any stream with at least 50% overall or an equivalent grade from an institution recognised by the UGC and following the (10+2+3) pattern of education.

Any field of study, including language, engineering, humanities, economics, medicine, business, or any other, is eligible for a bachelor's degree.

Candidates who will be taking their bachelor's degree exam or an equivalent or who are awaiting the results of their final year are also eligible to apply for admission to the MBA programmes at Jamia Millia Islamia.
