According to NTA, a student can appear for all four attempts of JEE mains and he can appear for this exam for 3 years consecutively right after clearing 12th. The score of JEE Main is valid for the current year only. This means if a candidate appears for JEE Main 2022, he/she can apply for admission in the institute only for the academic year 2022-23.

If you have appeared for the exam in Feb, but it didn't go well so still you have 3 chances remaining, and it goes for the exam that happens in May as well, it is always better to have more options because you learn from the mistake that you have committed in the first attempt and never try to repeat the same one in the next attempt.

It is not necessary to appear for all 4 sessions of JEE-Main , this facility is provided so that if any candidate has scored less in any session then he/she can improve his/her score in further sessions without wasting an year, if you want you can appear only for 1 session or 2 sessions or as much as you want out of 4.

JEE-Main 2022 eligibility criteria is defined below :-

1--- Age criteria :- There is no age limit to appear in JEE-Main but note that there might be the age limit in any particular institution taking admission through JEE-Main score, so you should keep this thing in mind.

2--- Qualifying Examination :- To be eligible for JEE-Main one should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject from any of the recognized central or state board.

3--- Year of qualification :- For JEE-Main 2022 only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022; or those who will be appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2022, would be eligible to appear.

So if you follow all above criterion then you are definitely eligible for JEE-Main.
