According, to last year trends you should score more then 130 marks in JEE Main general category other state quota to get NITs.

Cut off marks varies according to the branches as well.

It can be vary according to the

  • Number of applications received for JEE Main 2018

  • Number of questions asked in the paper

  • Difficulty level of the exam

  • Performance of the candidates

  • Previous years’ cutoff trends of JEE Main

NIT Cutoff as per 2017 trends state that minimum Qualifications marks for entry into top NITs was 81/360.

Although, this cutoff will keep varying every year as nimber of candidates keep varying.

The cutoff marks shall depend upon following factors:-

1. Difficulty level of questions paper
2. Number of candidates appeared
3. Performance of candidates
4. Previous year trends

The cutoff marks General Category are in between 80-105 as approximate range. For SC/ST Category this goes from 25-50 as approximate number.

In order to qualify for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, candidates must have at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in higher secondary examination or must be in top 20 percentile in class 12th examination conducted by respective boards.
