Yes absolutely you will eligible to grab the seat in core branch through josaa counselling but you will suffer a lot during first year in engineering college but you don't need worried about it because you can fetch good mark in semester by working hard. Best of luck for your future. 

yes, being it would be a piece of cake to grab a seat for you in the NIT, but you might have to compromise on the branch if location of the college bothers you.
