Jee main seat allotment is based on category rank or crl rank?

Hello Vamsi,

JEE Mains seat allotment provides counseling for both CRL based and category based. 

If you choose a category based counseling then you will get options of colleges based on your category rank. If you choose CRL, then it's the general (common) category so you get colleges based on your general rank.

Hi aspirant!!!  Both the ranks have their own significance. For unreserved candidates their crl is referred for seat allotment. Those who belong to some category have reserved seats and thats why for them the category rank is referred for allotment for those reserved seats. Hope this helps.
