For JEE Mains 2026 registration , you do not need the EWS certificate . While filling the form, you just need to select if you want to apply under the EWS category or not.

The EWS certificate is required at the time of counselling , not during registration. You can get the certificate after 1 April 2026 , and it will be valid for counselling as long as it is issued before that.

So, you can fill the form now, and get the certificate ready later for counselling.
