It is little bit difficult to provide you with the answers if you dont mention the name of the exam.However if you are talking about competitive exams like JEE,Wbjee then revising the past year's paper is good for you since a lot of questions come common in case of Mathematics.However in physics it is totally on concept based and you need to understand the concept in order to understand the questions and solve it.In board exams papers are easier to attempt and you can score good marks once you have studies your text book properly.
