If you have given a date by the official authorities for the reporting to the centre , you should report on the given date , else you will be eliminated from the further counselling process if they are very strict for the rules and regulations. It solely depends on the official authorities , they may consider you for document verification on the next day also if they are convinced by your reason or have time left on the next day.

It's better to report on the given day.
