kindly guide me to proceed for admission in NITs . my percentile is 86.2

Hey,

Hope you are doing well.

Well, admission is based only on your rank and percentile of JEE main . If you have cleared your respective cut off in JEE main then you are only able to go for further process to get admission in NITs. NITs only admit those students , who just qualified jee mains and who match their eligibility criteria(for specific branch) of there institutions.

First of all you must have to qualify jee mains with excellent percentile. Then you will have to appear in the josaa counselling to get admission in your preferred college. Most of the NITs , wants candidate with 97 percentile and above (in open category).  As your percentile is 86.2 so it is quite difficult for you to get admission in NITs in open category.
