A final decision is yet to be made on whether this 75% board criteria will be removed or not. Till now, this 75% (or being in top 20 percentile) board criteria is still there i.e., a student willing to take admission into any IIT/NIT on the basis of JEE must have secures an aggregate of at least 75% (o be in top 20% percentile) in his/ her board exams.

Since, the CBSE has given marks higher than expected, it is less likely that this criteria will be removed. But keeping in mind the students of all other boards, this has some (very less) chances of being removed.

Hope this helps.
