If you're looking to get into an MA program (even if it's private), most colleges expect you to have at least 50% marks in your graduation degree—and some may require 55% or more, depending on the institute.

Online and distance MA programs usually have a 50% cutoff—pretty accessible.

Regular university-based MA admissions usually sit around 50%, but expect some private or high-demand courses to require 55%.

So bottom line:

If you’ve scored around 50%, you’re good to apply broadly.

If you scored a bit higher (55%+), you’ll also be eligible for the more competitive colleges or specialized fields.

Hello,

The minimum for you to get admission to the private colleges for the M.A. programs depends very much on the specific university and subject you are applying for. But, typically, you need to get a minimum of 50%-60% marks in your bachelor's degree, which is accepted in most MA programs.

I hope it will clear your query!!
