Government Medical College Kota is one of the largest medical college campuses in Rajasthan and a Public medical college in the city of Kota. The GMC Kota came in the existence in March 1992 and the first batch commences with 50 students in 1992-93 session. Initially, the UG regular classes were started in ESI Hospital building at Jhalawar road Kota and later its moved own spacious campus in 1997.

Kota Medical College is mainly its purpose for imparting medical education as well as providing health care facilities to the people of the region. The GMC Kota offers a variety of medical courses in undergraduates as well as postgraduates and it provides an ideal atmosphere for education and learning. The college offers all the basic amenities to its students, within its campus.


MBBS Course

The MBBS course is a four and a half year period followed by a one year compulsory rotating residential internship. The lasting 12-month internship includes short courses in community health, medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, child health, orthopedics, emergency medicine and various specialties. All these are according to the guidelines of the Medical Council of India. Admission to the MBBS program is based on the candidate marks obtained in the NEET-UG rank held by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
