The eligibility for MA history is as follows: 

• The candidates pursuing M.A. history must have a graduation degree with honours history or history as one of the subject in graduation. 
• Some institutes also demand that the candidate must have a minimum of 50% in graduation. 
• Selection is based on marks secured in final merit i.e, total aggregate in final exams of graduation and entrance exam.
