There are mainly two divisions of the Earth's surface. The large landmasses are known as the continents and the huge water bodies are called the ocean. The Earth surface is mostly covered by Oceans almost 71% area of Earth. And only 29% is considered as land surface.
The land surface can be subdivided- Crust, the tough outer part, The mantle is the mostly-solid bulk of Earth's interior. The mantle lies between Earth's  dense, super-heated core and its thin outer layer.
