Coming to your question the syllabus for the MA sociology entrance exam is ,

Part 1 - will test the general awareness about the world around us .

Part 2- will test the information that the student has about social and humanities in general and sociology.

Part 3- will test student on his ability to structure an essay logically , his ability to wrote grammatically correct English , his ability to comprehend the society around him.
