Yaah you can able to write the JEE MAINS examination because as such it does not have any percentage eligibility for that but yaah inorder to enter in these elite institutes like IIT and NIT'S you need to have a score of atleast 75% in class 12th as an eligibility criteria to get in. Overall you have 3 attempts to write the JEE MAINS and if you are coming under that domain then definitely you should apply for jee mains in next year and based upon your marks in JEE mains and your obtained class 12th percentage you can easily able to take the admission in private colleges.

Firstly, To give JEE Mains there is no specific percentage needed. You only need to qualify 12th Class.

Secondly, At the time of admission in NITs/IITs, you need to have minimum 75% marks in class XII or equivalent exam or be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board.

For SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility criteria is to secure 65% marks in class XII or equivalent exam.
