Hello!!

CBSE has announced JEE Main 2018 syllabus that must be followed by candidates preparing for the exam.

Syllabus of maths in integration is-

Integral as an anti-derivative.Fundamental integrals involving algebraic, trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions. Integration by substitution,by parts and by partial fractions.Integration using trigonometric identities. Integration as limit of sum.

Fundamental theorem of Calculus.Properties of definite integrals.Evaluation of definite integrals.determining areas of the regions bounded by simple curves in standard form.

This is a complete syllabus of integration portion.

Thank you.

Integrals of all types are asked in the exam. There is no such pattern fixed for the type of integrals. It varies every year and paper to paper. Both types of integrals are under syllabus. At my time indefinite integrals constituted 2 questions of the exam and surprisingly no definite integral question was asked then. Good Luck :)
