Hello aspirant,

Yes, before you proceed for admission and counselling process, one has to register himself/herself whether he will be going for admission or not. Also, the officials check whether you have managed to qualify the minimum qualifying eligibility criteria and the minimum qualifying marks you have secured in any CET exam, so that after the verification of documents and paying the counselling fee, one can for counselling rounds so as to get an admission in the college. And, hence as per his/her secured rank, the allotment of colleges will be done accordingly.
