For admission under Btech you need to appear for JEE mains exam Or for the MP PET entrance exam apart from 12th class which is basic eligibility.The counselling will then conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh. The admission will be given on the basis of  merit list which  is prepared based on the rank in the entrance examination, counselling rounds, preferences for colleges and courses, document verification and fee payment.

12th marks stand as a standing criteria for getting admitted in JGEC. However you have to appear for Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test commonly known as MP-PET and score a decent rank for getting into JGEC.
