Yes, you can get admission in B.tech 2nd year through lateral entry.You need to appear entrance exam conducted by the concerned board in your state.Admissions in few colleges are based on merit in diploma which is a direct entry and in few other colleges that admission is based on merit in the entrance exam.So, yes after your diploma you can join in B.tech.
