Hello JEE aspirant,

Precisely, we can't predict the minimum marks to be scored by the aspirants to qualify JEE Mains because it all depends on the standard of question paper. But with my experience and reserch on previous question paper standards I suggest you to score 35 %-45% in each subject to qualify JEE Mains 2020. But if you want to get into a good college I advice you to score 65%-80% of marks in each subject.  If you fall under the category of backward caste, that's  an advantage to you, if you score the same percentile of marks mentioned above you can easily qualify with a better rank.

Hello,

There is no sectional cut off in JEE Main. There is no qualifying mark for each subject. You need to score the overall cut off percentile. As of now the cut off for JEE Main 2020 is not yet out. The cut off in 2019 was as follows unreserved: 89.75, EWS:78.21, OBC-NCL:74.31, SC: 54.01,ST: 44.33, PWD: 0.11 The cut off will change depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam and number of seats available.

Hello,

Their is no minimum marks for each subjects in jee mains.Rather you should clear the percentile which is taken into consideration taking marks of all the subjects commulatively.

The cut off in 2019 was as follows :

general 89.75, EWS:78.21, OBC-NCL:74.31, SC: 54.01,ST: 44.33, PWD: 0.11

Hi aspirant,

Unlike JEE Advanced, there is no any minimum subject wise cutoff which a candidate needs to obtain to qualify JEE Main. To qualify you need to obtain a minimum percentile which is evaluated from the aggregate score of each subject and not in each subject individually. Take a look at the approximate previous year JEE Main cutoff of different categories to qualify for JEE Advanced:

General........89 percentile

EWS.........78 percentile

OBC..........74 percentile

SC..............54 percentile

ST..............44 percentile

PwD..........0.11 percentile

Hope it helps you.
