I dont think it would matter, provided you've worked on your Academics in College, Relevant Skills and have a Good Profile overall with Good Grades in BTech/Mtech. Same case with MBA, however your low 12% may lower your chances of securing Top IIMs & Top BSchools, but once in a BSchool, wont affect Placements.

12th marks matter when students need admission in Bachelor degree.

But for placements marks stated in degree and your overall performance matters a lot and not marks of class 12th.

So, once you get admission, study your course subjects properly and that will help you in better placement.
