It seems like you have less chances of getting into M.Sc IIT.

If you are general candidate student then you may have to lose all the hope here.

If you are a obc candidate, you can get a new IIT like IIT BHUBANESWAR .

If you have sc/st quota then you can get into Old IITs easily specially if you have st quota.

The closing ranks are different for different categories.The cut off ranks might vary every year.According to IIT JAM 2019 the closing ranks for different IITs are given below :

IIT Roorkee :

General - 56

OBC - 227

SC -490

ST - 1735

Gen Pwd - 1163

OBC Pwd - 955

IIT Indore :

General - 71

OBC - 241

SC - 658

ST - 1631

Gen Pwd - 4248

The chances of getting admission depends on your category.
