Hello!
With an AIR of 229494 in NEET, it will be very difficult to get a government BDS seat anywhere in India, including Karnataka, as government seats are highly competitive and usually require a much lower AIR, typically under 50,000 for general category. However, you may have a chance in private BDS colleges in Karnataka under management or NRI quota, depending on the college’s cutoffs and your category. Fees in private colleges are higher compared to government colleges.

Hello ,

With an All India Rank (AIR) of 229494 in NEET, securing a government BDS seat will be very difficult because BDS cutoffs for government colleges are generally much lower (within 40,000–80,000 rank range depending on category). However, since you mentioned private BDS colleges in Karnataka, you still have chances there.

Karnataka has many private dental colleges, and counselling for them is conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority). With your rank, you may not get the top colleges in the early rounds, but during later rounds or mop-up counselling, many private colleges lower their cutoff significantly. The fee in private colleges is higher, but it is still recognized by the Dental Council of India. If you belong to SC/ST/OBC category, your chances may improve slightly for lower fees or subsidized seats.

So, while a government BDS seat is nearly impossible with your rank, a private BDS seat in Karnataka is definitely possible.

Thank you, and I wish you the very best for your dental career.

It's hard to get bds in govt college because the closing is below 1 lakh you can consider private colleges or even deemed University they basically offer seats with low cut off in management quota you can attend kea counselling of you are willing to check the cut off in private colleges.

Hello!

So With your rank that is  2,29,494 it is difficult to get a government BDS seat in Karnataka as government seats usually require much better ranks and higher NEET scores but yes you can get a seat in private BDS college in the second or later rounds.

Make sure to attend all the rounds of counselling to get a better seat. Keep your documents ready for verification.
