NIMCET is a common entrance exam conducted by  National Institute of Technology for MCA aspirants. Through this exam with a good rank you can get into any one of the NITs or other universities like  University of Hyderabad, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Harcourt Butler Technical University. The closing rank is decided by the number of seats and number of applicants. Below are the required cutoff ranks for all the  NITs . The usual cutoff for general category seems to be high for NITs.
