Hope you are doing well. AME CET is national level elegibility test for all the aspirants who wish to study Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. A student clearing this examination will be placed in the government recognised colleges all over India. Considering you are an general category student with your score I am sorry to inform you that you will not have much chance to get an seat for AME through AME CET. But you don't need to worry at all there are many private colleges out there which will definately accept you. Some of the colleges you should check are,

1. Bharat Institute of Aeronautics, Patna.

2. School of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Delhi.

3. Hindustan Academy of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Lucknow.

This is a 3 years course, since the safety is the primary concern in the Airline Industry, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers are trained to inspect an aircraft, diagnose problems, report the problems found and finally solve them. After completion of the AME course successfully, the students have a very vast job oppurtunities like, they are directly hired by both government and private airlines. Aviation organizations, Aircraft maintenance firms and flying schools will also recruit them.
