My brother got 396 marks (SC category) in neet 2019. Is there any chance of getting govt. college either by AIQ or by STATE QUOTA (U.P) ??

Hello

The level of the paper was quiet easy that's why the cut off the colleges may rise for each category of students and it can't be exactly predicted due to varying number of students participating in the counselling process.

A few colleges are listed below along with previous year cut off (State quota) which he might get.:

Government Medical College, Azamgarh - 390 marks

Government Medical College, Ambedkarnagar - 382 marks

Government Medical College, Jalaun - 372 marks

Government Medical College, Kannauj - 377 marks

Government Allopathic Medical College, Banda, UP - 373 marks

Government Medical College, Saharanpur - 374 marks

Through AIQ he won't get any govt. college. You must apply for state counselling.

Check more details about UP cut off here:https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-up

All the best.

Hello Amit!

Yes your brother can get few colleges if cutoff trends remain similar to last year.

Like he can try for GMC Ambedkarnagar, GMC Kannauj, GMC Jalaun, GAMC Banda, GMC Saharanpur, GMC Azamgarh.

The cutoff for these colleges were below 390 and the lowest cutoff was of GMC Jalaun and GAMC Banda, which was around 372 and 373.

Hope that helps!
