No, He will not face any issue. Jadavpur University is one of the best university present and very good coding enviorment is there.

Even if he doesn't get selected into CS and do the Hardwork there too, He still can crack good companies as many companies allow other branches students to sit in the Placements and if his coding skills will be good, he even can apply Off Campus. Then Branch will not matter at all.

spandanchakrabarty17 No Mam, It will not create any issue. It is common in Some Private Colleges that students go for B.Tech after doing their Diploma.

Aryan But Sir he left honours so he has no honours degree and as he passed class 12 in 2018 and will appear for WBJEE 2021,he will become a 3 year dropper.So,will it not create problem in his placement??pls reply sir

spandanchakrabarty17 What counts in Placements is his academic track while pursuing his current studies. Not what he did prior to that, So Don't Worry.
