Hello Krishna,

Based on your expected score and category, here's a realistic assessment of your chances for B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany admission into Delhi University (DU) :

Key Points:

  • You belong to the SC category , which has relatively lower cutoffs compared to General category.

  • Your Biology score is 250/250 , which is excellent and strengthens your subject-specific merit.

  • Your overall CUET-UG score is expected to be 300–350 out of 750 , which is moderate.

Admission Chances in DU:

  • South Campus Colleges (like Venky, ARSD, Dyal Singh, etc.) :

    • These are moderately competitive. SC cutoffs for B.Sc. Botany (Hons.) in such colleges usually range from 330–420 marks (CUET score).

    • With 300–350 marks , you may have low to moderate chances , especially if the cutoff stays high.

  • Off-Campus Colleges (like Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Shaheed Rajguru, Aditi Mahavidyalaya, etc.) :

    • These have slightly lower cutoffs .

    • Your chances are moderate to good , especially where weightage is given more to the subject score (Biology) and less to overall CUET total.

Suggestion:

  • Apply widely to both South Campus and Off-Campus DU colleges.

  • Keep backup options ready in case your preferred college cutoffs are higher than expected.

  • Track DU CSAS portal updates closely after results.

Conclusion:
You have a fair chance of getting B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany in Off-Campus DU colleges and possibly some South Campus colleges , depending on the final cutoff trends for SC category in 2025. Your perfect score in Biology will help significantly.

It's difficult to say definitively whether you'll get into DU with your expected score range, but your chances are good, especially with your strong biology score. Here's a breakdown:

Understanding the CUET:

CUET UG is a standardized test: It's used by participating universities like DU for undergraduate admissions.

No fixed passing marks: DU sets its own cutoff for admission based on course popularity, seat availability, and your CUET score.

Cutoff varies by category: SC students have lower cutoff requirements due to reservation.

Your Expected Score and its Impact:

300-350 out of 750:

This score is considered a good score, especially for an SC category student.

250/250 in Biology:

This is excellent and can significantly boost your chances, particularly for B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany.

South and Off-campus:

DU South Campus is generally more competitive than Off-campus colleges, so your chances are higher for Off-campus.

Factors Affecting Your Admission:

DU Cutoff:

DU will release its cutoff for B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany after the CUET results.

Course Demand:

B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany is a popular course, so you need to score well to get in.

Seat Availability:

The number of seats available for SC candidates will also affect the cutoff.

Other Factors:

DU may also consider other factors like your class 12 marks, depending on their admission policies.

Recommendation:

Aim for a higher score:

While your expected score is good, try to improve your score if possible to increase your chances of getting into your preferred campus.

Keep an eye on DU notifications:

DU will release its cutoff and admission details after the CUET results are announced.

Check your chances:

Use CUET college predictor to get a better understanding of your chances based on your expected score and the previous year's cutoff.

In summary, you have a good chance of getting into DU with your expected score, especially with a strong Biology score. Focus on performing well in the CUET exam and keep an eye on DU's admission notifications for the latest updates,

Hello Krishna,

Yes, with a score of around 300–350 out of 750 in CUET UG 2025 and 250/250 in Biology , you have a good chance of getting admission into B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany in Delhi University , especially because:

  1. You belong to the SC category , which lowers the cutoff for reserved seats.

  2. You have a perfect score in Biology , which is a major subject for this course.

Chances are higher in off-campus or South Campus colleges rather than the top North Campus colleges. Some DU colleges outside North Campus that may accept this score for SC candidates include:

  • Acharya Narendra Dev College

  • Motilal Nehru College

  • Bhaskaracharya College

  • Deshbandhu College

  • Swami Shraddhanand College

Final admission depends on the actual cutoff released by DU in each round and the number of applications in your category.

Make sure to participate in the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) by Delhi University and list your preferences carefully.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
