As you have mentioned that your daughter holds an American passport and an OCI card, therefore, she will be considered under the NRI category. In the said state, OCI candidates are eligible to take admission under NRI category only. However, she can apply for admission to government/private medical/dental colleges. There are seats reserved for NRI category candidates (including OCIs) in the government medical/dental colleges. The fees for NRI category candidates will be less in government colleges as compared to the private ones. The preference for admission is given in the following order-
NRIs/OCIs/ PIOs candidates who originally belonged to the state of Haryana.
Children of NRIs/OCIs/PIOs who originally belonged to the state of Haryana.
NRIs/OCIs/ PIOs candidates who originally belonged to an Indian state or Union territories apart from Haryana.
Children of NRIs/OCIs/PIOs who originally belonged to an Indian state or Union territories apart from Haryana.
If there are the sufficient number of eligible candidates available under the first category, then those candidates will be given preference even if the other candidates have a higher merit (NEET score).
The OCI candidates are required to submit OCI letter from Ministry of External Affairs/Embassy and Bank Account Details among other documents to seek admission under NRI category.
