Assuming that you are referring to AP EAMCET, your rank is based on a weightage of 75% on your EAMCET marks and 25% on Intermediate marks. As far as ranks are concerned, there is no category rank in EAMCET like JEE. In AP EAMCET, 10% seats at colleges are reserved for EWS quota students. So it's that you'll have a better chance for admission as state cutoff at a college for a particular course will be lower than that of General category.
